The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC Wednesday reportedly arrested a former military Governor of Kaduna State (1993-1996) Lawal Jafaru Isa who is a Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, APC, for allegedly collecting N100m from former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki in the ongoing #Dasukigate scandal.
Brigadier General Lawal Jafaru Isa and Colonel Yakubu Bako (retd), former governor of Akwa Ibom State, recently worked in a Lt. Gen. Abdur-rahman Dambazzau (retd)-led inauguration subcommittee that was saddled with coming up with a working paper on anticorruption and national security.
Jafaru Isa who has always been known to be one of Dasuki’s close chums, would be the first major APC chieftain arrested by the EFCC in the ongoing major corruption scandal that has destroyed the economy of Nigeria.
