Nigeria is experiencing a prolonged heatwave this 2016.
People are complaining bitterly about the extreme heat both in the day and at night.
Temperatures have remained 2-4 °F or 2 °C higher than the mean for the same periods in the past couple of years.
Lagos has been experiencing highs of 97°F / 36 °C and lows of 78 °F / 25.6 °C for the Month of April. March had an average of 96°F but February was even higher with an average high of 98 °F.
Making this worse is the zero wind which makes it feel even hotter. For a period with fuel shortage, it has been a deadly uncomfortable season.
