In the early hours of Monday, Ukrainian government and media reported a number of Russian drone and missile attacks, prompting air raid sirens to scream across the country.

Ukraine’s military said it shot down 35 kamikaze drones over Kiev alone. According to authorities in the capital, falling debris injured five individuals and damaged an apartment building as well as around 20 automobiles. A diesel tank was also punctured, however this did not result in a fire, according to officials.

According to Ukrainian media, Russian Air Force bombers launched eight missiles about midnight local time, at least one of which struck a warehouse in Odessa Region.

Yuri Kruk, the director of the local military command, claimed the bombardment on Monday morning sparked a big fire and that one person is missing.

In response to the midnight strikes, Vladimir Rogov, a senior official in Russia’s Zaporozhye Region, claimed on his Telegram channel that a missile strike had damaged a Ukrainian military ammunition storage.

Explosions have also been recorded in the Chernigov and Dnepropetrovsk regions, as well as the city of Zaporozhye, according to Ukrainian media.
