NewsRescue- This video just out on YouTube, purportedly shows an interview of the late leader of ‘Boko Haram’, fundamentalist group in North Nigeria. Mohammed Yusuf was apparently executed shortly after capture by the Nigerian Police/Army and pictures of his bullet riddled body were published. Yusuf was allegedly at the head of an uprising in North Nigeria over the last two weeks that left as many as 400 dead.

POLICE: Yesterday we went to your house; we saw a lot of animals, students and stuff you guys are putting together. What are you going to do with all these stuff?
YUSUF: To defend our self.
POLICE: Is there no authority to defend you?
YUSUF: I don’t know what I did for this arrest?
POLICE: You are a Muslim person.
YUSUF: I don’t know why you are disturbing us?
POLICE: You said Boko Haram (Western education is sin) who made the pants you are wearing?
YUSUF: Yusuf pants are cotton and cotton is made by God.
POLICE: God in the Quran’s chapter said ‘Ikra’ – or seek knowledge?
YUSUF: Is not same with Islamic knowledge. There certain western knowledge that is bad.

POLICE: We saw Computer and many things in your house are they not made from knowledge?
YUSUF: These are technology different from Western schooling.
POLICE: You are eating good food, driving a nice car, and wearing nice clothes.
YUSUF: Is not like that. People have different means and abilities. Some have in their hand while others don’t.
POLICE: Why did you leave your compound?
YUSUF: Because you came to attack me.
POLICE: You send others to fight and you left?
YUSUF: All my people have left too.
POLICE: What about the people that came to fight?
YUSUF: My people have left.
POLICE: Where are your followers now?
YUSUF: Bauchi, Gombe. Adamawa, Taraba and police have already attacked them before Maiduguri.
POLICE: What happened to cut on your arms?
YUSUF: I fell.
POLICE: Where is your headquarters or branch offices.
YUSUF: You have attacked Yusuf headquarters; Yusuf branches are in Gwange ward, Bulumkutu, etc.
POLICE: Who is helping you, do you have soldiers, organizers and if you are not here who is second in command?
YUSUF: Abubakar Shekau.
POLICE: Where is your GSM Cell phone?
YUSUF: I don’t know.
POLICE: You ran away with many people, where are they now?
YUSUF: I don’t know.
POLICE: Are you getting any help from Niger Republic?
YUSUF: No, no one is helping us – Insha Allahu Warahamatullah, Insha Allahu Warahamatullah.
POLICE: Do you have a farm in Benishiek?
YUSUF: Yes.
POLICE: Many died fighting, who do not know what they are fighting for, what is your opinion on their death?
YUSUF: It is on the conscious of the killers of my people.
POLICE: What about your children that were killed?
YUSUF: My children were killed? Again it is on the conscious of the killers.

POLICE: Where is your mom from?
YUSUF: From Gashua.
POLICE: Have you travelled overseas?
