DOCUMENTS: Nigeria Army Chief Promoted Terror by Looting $20,000 Every Two Days from Day He Resumed Office

Known in the initial stages of his assumption of office as the Dubai mansion snake breeder, former chief of staff Buratai has been discovered to have set up the siphon of about N10 million every two days into his foreign accounts.

The army chief sho claimed he used his exotic snake business to purchase his luxury apartments in Dubai, was actually according to bank records, wiring massive anti-terror funds to his foreign accounts.

Investigative journalist Jackson Ude posted,

“Few days after he was appointed Chief of Army Staff, General Yusuf Buratai was paying himself N10million every two days from the Army’s account to his Skye Bank account with #1770380452. The proceeds was used to purchase his apartment in Unit 2711 in TGF Marina Hotel, Dubai, UAE.

He continued,

Not done yet, Buratai took ownership of the Nigerian Army Property Limited with RC: 676953, using his personal address at c/o Buratai Primary school, Biu LGA, Borno state as company address and allocated to himself and cronies 499,500,000 shares.”

Upon retirement after a tenure unduly extended by president Muhammadu Buhari, Buratai was again appointed as a Nigerian Ambassador to Benin Republic.

“Financial records obtained by our reporters detailed how Yasiga Nigeria Limited, a company registered in 1996 by Mr. Buratai — a retired lieutenant general and immediate past chief of army staff — cornered disbursements from the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), a federal agency established to address deprivation in the oil-rich Delta region but which has been enmeshed in decade-long multibillion naira contract scams.” Read more on that.
