Bayelsans, Others Join as Gov Dickson Dedicates Quadruplets in Church

…thanks other First Ladies for their support

Governor Henry Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State has expressed gratitude to all those who came to celebrate with him and his family during the dedication of their quadruplets at the King of Glory Chapel, Government House, Yenagoa.

The dedication of the children was conducted by renowned cleric and preacher, Dr. Uma Ukpai, during the church service.

The Governor during his speech at the event held on Sunday, thanked the wives of the Governors of Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Imo, Abia, Oyo, Cross-Rivers, Delta and Edo states as well as captains of industry, leaders of the Ijaw nation, friends of the family and the state for the support, prayers, and encouragement all through the fifteen years of waiting.

According to him, the event was just to to dedicate the children and thank God for his faithfulness in their lives but was shocked by the contributions of well wishers who turned it into an epoch occasion.

“Left for me, in my normal ways, I wanted it to be a low key event with just a few friends joining us to thank God. I feel dazed to see the number of persons who came from within and outside the state”, he said.

While calling for continuous prayer for the family and the state, Dickson also thanked everyone who contributed in one area or the other to make the day a huge success.

The celebration pulled together clergymen from different denominations, gospel artists like Elder Dempster, Timi Dakolo, Frank Edwards, Steve Crown, Chioma Jesus amongst others, as well as Nollywood star actress, Patience Ozokwo, and some of her colleagues in the industry.
