One of President Muhammadu Buhari’s closest allies, Alhaji Ismaila Isa Funtua, is dead.
He died on Monday from a yet to be disclosed cause after falling ill for less than two hours.
Funtua is touted to be a member of the ‘Cabal’, a group of influential persons around Nigeria’s President said to help him take key decisions.
His death follows the death of Abba Kyari. Another of 3-4 men said to be the cabal at the presidency and defacto rulers as president Buhari is said to be terminally incapacitated.
Isa Funtua is remembered for an image with Nigeria’s Central bank governor bowing at his feet.
