In more of amazing change coming to Nigeria, president Goolduck Jonathan has fired the Inspector General of police, controversial Suleiman Abba with ‘immediate effect’ and replaced him wih Solomon Arase.
This was released by spokesman Reuben Abati. No reason has yet been given for the termination of his service which comes after the president lost his re-election bid to General Muhammadu Buhari a change candidate and stern disciplinarian.
Suleiman Abba has been accused with other service chiefs of subverting the democratic process and harassing citizens for the ruling party/government.
The president has recently gone on a witch-hunt after people who are suspected of usurping up to 2 trillion ($11 billion) of PDP campaign funds.
