Buhari’s Wife Donates Drugs Worth Almost a Million Dollars To Displaced Persons In Yola

Aisha Buhari, wife of the All Progressive Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, has donated drugs worth over N135m to Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, in Adamawa State.

Presenting the drugs, Mrs. Buhari said “I am deeply touched by the plight of our people, we cannot pretend not to see the situation you people are into”.

She added: “We are not here for politics nor for religion but because we’re really touched by the condition you found yourselves”.

Mrs. Buhari urged the displaced persons to take advantage of the window of change in the country.

An official who works with Mrs. Buhari told PREMIUM TIMES the worth of the donations exceeded N135 million, and that more donations were expected.

Receiving the team, the chairman of the IDPs camps, Mohamud Goni, thanked the wife of the former Head of State for the gesture and promised that the drugs will be distributed to all affected persons.

Mrs. Buhari was accompanied to the camp by wives of serving APC governors, senators, and some chieftain in the state.

The Executive Secretary Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency, ASEMA, Haruna Furo, said the authority was doing everything possible to ensure that displaced persons are well taken of.

He commended Mrs. Buhari and called on other well-meaning Nigerians to emulate her.
