Governor Dickson Honoured in Benue State

Today, Saturday, 8th February, 2020, The Governor Of Bayelsa State, His Excellency, Honourable Henry Seriake Dickson a.k.a The Ofuruma Pepe was Conferred With the Chieftaincy Title Of OYI’ IHOTU K’ IDOMA By The Idoma Area Traditional Council Of Benue State.

This is in recognition of his role as a bridge builder, a nationalist and a true Democrat.

Gov is the third non Idoma man to be so Conferred with the revered title of Oyi’ Ihotu K’ IDOMA which means ‘the cherished son of Idoma kingdom’.

This has added to the numerous titles the Country man Governor has received across the nation.

The Och’Idoma said the conferment of the prestigious title on the Governor was an appreciation of the qualities of kindness and his display of magnanimity to the Idoma nation.

In his remark the Governor thanked the Idoma Council of Elders and the good people of Idoma land for the honour. ‘We are humans and have all been assigned by our creator and maker the all mighty God to contribute our best with any platform we have been given to better the lives of people. Though we are only performing our duty, it is quite gratifying to note that our humble contributions are noticed and appreciated, ‘

The occasion was attended by the Governor of Benue State who was represented by his deputy, Engr. Benson Abounu, Senator David Mark, former Senate president of Nigeria, Hon. Francis Ottah Agbo, Member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing Ado/Obadigbo/Opkokwu Federal Constituency, and many other dignitaries from a cross the nation.
