New details about Omar Mateen, the 29 year old man that killed at least 49 people in a homosexual club in Orlando have put more twists to the unfolding case.
Police investigations have revealed that Omar was a troubled man who himself used to party at various homosexual clubs in Florida.
Omar was a regular that the LGBT Pulse club where he later would take out the lives of other co-clubers. The Los Angeles Times reported that Mateen attended the Pulse nightclub possibly as many as a dozen times before the rampage.
Additionally Omar was reported to have downloaded homosexual-hook up apps on his phone for gay dating. Palm Beach Post reports:
A former classmate of Omar Mateen’s 2006 police academy class said he believed Mateen was gay, saying Mateen once asked him out. …
The classmate said that he, Mateen and other classmates would hang out, sometimes going to gay nightclubs, after classes at the Indian River Community College police academy. He said Mateen asked him out romantically.

offer,” the former classmate said. He asked that his name not be used.
He believed Mateen was gay, but not open about it. Mateen was awkward, and for a while the classmate and the rest in the group of friends felt sorry for him.
A troubled kid with described sexual questions, Omar had the typical story of an irregular family relationship with a father suspected to have abused him according to some reports.
Kevin West said he had messaged Mateen back and forth over a year’s time on the gay dating app Jack’d but never met him until he saw Mateen crossing the street about 1 a.m. Sunday.
“He walked directly past me. I said, ‘Hey,’ and he turned and said, ‘Hey,’” and nodded his head, West said. “I could tell by the eyes.”- Palm Beach Post
Omar had broken up with his wife allegedly for unsteady behaviour and this event was said to have been part of why and what made him question his own sexuality.
Omar even had a reported history of stalking a homosexual man who he was thought to have been interested in.
