Since the Nigerian government’s decision to eliminate Shia Islam in Nigeria, several of the minority Muslims have remained locked up in prisons across the north of the country, denied bail.

While government organised thugs persecuted, killed and burned the Shia Muslims, it was the same victims who were arrested and slammed in jail while their persecutors and murderers were escorted by the police as they perpetrated their carnage and left to go home.
Several right organisations and expert organisations have advised the Buhari government of the potential repercussions of pursuing a Saudi Wahhabi agenda in Nigeria.
