Doctor JP Amadi jnr. of Muslims Against Terror tweeted today that soldiers of the Nigerian army stormed all mosques in Aba, Abia state arresting all northern extract Imams.
The raids occurred at about 2am Sunday night.
According to the details, most of the Imams were released Monday evening.
The reason for their arrest is not yet known, however this follows increased apprehension towards northerners and northern appearing dwellers in Nigeria’s South-south and eastern states.
A Southern CAN, Christian Association of Nigeria leader just advised his followers not to eat Suya barbecue meat. This typical alarm is a recurrent type that has been raised over the years in times when certain southerners are scared of Boko Haram extremist terror, poisoning in this case.
