The recent report of the maltreatment of rescued Chibok girl, Amina Ali, comes as no surprise. Many have bashed the selective treatment of the Chibok girls over many in the same situation rescued.
But the dumping of the family members and interpreters flown in from Chibok in foreign territory in Abuja after photo-ops were all observed gives a sad confirmation of the insensitivity of the Nigerian army and the grasp of the Presidency. PremiumTimes narrates the abandonment.
It really comes as no surprise. This is the same government that buried and covered up the burial of hundreds of men, women and children and yet fails to exhume and investigate their bodies. It is unlikely they care about the Christian majority Chibok girls any more than the photo-ops.
