Suspected followers of the Indigenous People of Biafra’s leader, Nnamdi Kanu, have gone on the rampage in Aba, looting and burning a police station.
IPOB members burnt the police station at Ariara market in Aba on Thursday, reported online newspaper, PMNEWS.
“The IPOB members, it was learnt, looted the station before setting it ablaze. Today’s violence is coming on the heels of the extension of the dusk-to-dawn curfew imposed on the city till Friday by Governor Ikpeazu,” PMNEWS said.
IPOB members are agitating for the creation of an independent country called the Republic of Biafra, where they claim, Igbo would get justice.
