Nigeria’s vice president Yemi Osinbajo paid a surprise visit to Maiduguri, capital of Boko Haram ravaged Borno state.
The vice president with his entourage arrived unannounced at about 10.40am Wednesday morning and have since proceeded to visit displaced persons camps under high security.
Over 5 million Nigerians have been displaced by Boko Haram violence and many of these are living under very harsh conditions around the nation. Most relief gets to those further away from the northeast with those in Maiduguri and Yola getting the least attention.
