A 48-year-old rapist, Phillip Donald Jason, from Sunshine Coast in Australia, on finding out that the man he allegedly raped was living with the deadly HIV virus, fainted.
Reports from Metro UK revealed that Jason was reportedly restless and upset when he learnt that the man he raped was infected with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV).
According to police investigation, the victim had asked Jason to stop, but he did not, prompting the victim to report the incident to the police if he wished.
Jason’s first sexual encounter with the victim however, was consensual, but he later crossed the line and was charged with rape.
Following his arrest, the rapist was made to undergo six months of medical tests and test results showed he was not infected with HIV.
Jason said, “It’s better to face a jail term than to live with the disease.”
He swiftly pleaded guilty to the charges of rape, robbery and assault and was sentenced to two and a half years in prison.
