The Federal Bureau of Investigation in the United States published a statement in response to allegations made in emails revealed by billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk after he acquired Twitter.
Musk has revealed documents as part of a series of exposes exposing the processes used by the FBI to request security checks of tweets and accounts by social media site administrators. Critics charged the FBI with unlawfully exploiting these requests for political purposes.
The FBI responded by dismissing the allegations.
