Police have started releasing corpses of IMN members they killed in Kano during the Annual Arbaeen trek with the release of the corpse of Umar Bako Gano.
The released corpse was among the many the Police killed and went away with the bodies. It will recalled that Reflection-online reported then that it was not clear the exact number of casualty as the police dragged some of the corpses into their van, a usual practice by security forces in such situations, in an attempt to hide evidence and limit the exact number of their victims.
With this release, it is hoped that this is just the beginning of the release of all corpses of our Martyrs they took along with them. The Islamic Movement still holds Governor Umar Ganduje of Kano state and the Nigerian police responsible, of not only the attacks, but of denying us the corpses of our martyrs for proper burial.
Meanwhile, the released martyr will receive a befitting burial rites he deserves later today at about 4:00pm local time in Gano, Dawakin kudu Local Government Area of Kano state.
