Chinese engineers have made every city-dweller’s dream come true, building an elevated bus that can drive above car traffic. The straddling Transit Elevated Bus (TEB) went on its first road test on Tuesday in Qinhuangdao City.
The bus travels at top speeds of 60km/hr. Some question how it can go above trucks…perhaps the roads it will ply will have vehicle height limits.
One bus carries as many as 300 passengers and is powered by solar and electricity. It costs one fifth the cost of its equivalent in Subway or trains.
