A brother who prayed not too far from Borno ex-Governor and serially labeled Boko Haram sponsor, Ali Modu Sheriff says that people rained serious curses on the Senator at the Mosque in Maitama, Abuja.
Nigerians have been calling for the arrest of this Senator who now hides away in Abuja, for several terrorism charges; but the Goodluck Jonathan government protects him. Sheriff was also linked to a recently impounded French chartered plane transporting dangerous items to Boko Haram suspect Chad.
The PDP Jonathan government intends to use him for ‘victory’ in Borno and to this result, he is rather given unprecedented security when he drives in Borno; with over 200 government security officers, bomb disposal vehicles, rapid response vehicles, police bullion trucks, army trucks and all the what have you. To intimidate a terrorized people with such demonstration of inconsiderate power and government sponsored personalized security is inhuman.
The Borno State governor for his criticism of the President’s response to terror in the State has in comparison, been stripped of all his official security details, in Presidency terrorism. As unimaginable as it sounds, the State governor, Shettima uses Civilian-JTF for security. The Borno airport is always opened for the Senator but remains closed to the State governor and even State Hajj pilgrims.
