A Nigerian has alerted that Nigerian customs officials are using the supposed border closure to fill their pockets.
Stating that the borders were not closed, said he was at the southwestern border and saw customs officials taking N100,000 and N50,000 for big and small vehicles respectively and allowing them enter Nigeria with their goods.

Most commuters and traders at the borders are Southern Nigerians of the Yoruba and Igbo tribes.
Responding to the allegations, Buhari’s Social Media aide, Lauretta Onochie said she will take the allegations to the appropriate quarters. It is not known who or where that is.
