PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari Monday in London in the presence of his Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari signed the amended Deep Offshore Act. This was contained in a statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu in Abuja.
Section 145 provides as follows:
“Whenever the President transmits to the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives a written declaration that he is proceeding on vacation or that he is otherwise unable to discharge the functions of his office, until he transmits to them a written declaration to the contrary, such functions shall be discharged by the Vice-President as Acting President”.
“At the end of the summit, President Buhari will on Saturday 2 November, 2019, proceed to the United Kingdom on a private visit. He is expected to return to Nigeria on 17 November, 2019.” – Adesina for Buhari
