Elections: North-bound Passengers Protest At Abuja Airport Over Cancellation Of Flights

Nnamdi Azikiwe-International Airport Abuja

North+bound passengers protest at Abuja international airport over the cancellation of all flights to the north by the aviation ministry.

Passengers are asking whether the administration is so desperate it believes that hindering potential opposition voters from returning home in time for the elections or just annoying northern bound travellers will favor the ruling Party.

Meanwhile flights appeared to continue unhindered to the South all day, stranded passengers said.

Some we spoke to said they would have to tale the road tomorrow, Friday as they did not trust the government and waiting any longer.

We have not been able to get a reaction from the Ministry or Mike Omeri at the time of filing this report as hundreds of north-bound passengers remain stranded at tue airport.
