You are the first president to lose part of Nigeria – Atiku tells Jonathan

By Timothy Enietan-Matthews

Atiku-AbubakarAll Progressives Congress, APC Presidential aspirant, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has again counselled the Federal Government on how to go about prosecuting the war against Boko Haram insurgents, even as the sect becomes more daring by the day. Atiku urged President Goodluck Jonathan to seek international intervention to end the Boko Haram insurgency

The APC presidential hopeful spoke to Journalists yesterday in Abuja

Atiku appealed to President Jonathan not to cede any part of the country to the insurgents, as according to him, it has never happened in the history of the country.

“The issue is not about insults or attacking people; the issue is that you are the first in the history of Nigeria to lose territories. Nigeria is shrinking; it’s becoming smaller. Go and redeem your record. Are you a competent government? Are you safeguarding the territorial integrity of the country? Boko Haram might have international affiliations; why don’t we allow the world to come and help us?” Abubakar asked.
