Hands Tied Our Blood Is Shed
The barbarians come in the thick of the night
And dare ever so brazen even in broad day light
They plunder
They slaughter
Exterminate our laughter
Finally taking leave with our precious daughter
Hands tied our blood is shed
At the Boko Haram Altar we are bled
For hands tied our blood is shed
We shall not be armed, the drunken dictator said
To defend ourselves, he will not allow
Though our guns are given to Tompolo and Shekau
Mercenaries armed by Nero lay us to waste
Off our farmlands we are displaced
What a treacherous state!
Hands tied we await our fate
Our blood shared on our leaders’ plates
As the government tanks driven by the bandits devastates
Hands tied we are inundated
Stand down, the order to the army… allow them be castrated
Let all their sons be conscripted
And their daughters, all violated
Today the devil be venerated

Dedicated to all the farmers and traders of the north, defenseless and undefended. Dedicated to the victims of Abuja bombings that our half a billion dollars CCTV failed to protect. Dedicated to us.
