Helicopter crashes in Russia near Ukrainian border

An unidentified helicopter crashed near the Ukrainian border in Bryansk Region, Russia. The local emergency services confirmed on Saturday that no information about victims is yet available. According to early data, the aircraft crashed when its engine caught fire, according to a TASS source.

Social media videos show the chopper bursting in mid-air and crashing in a flame. Other video shows what looks to be the crash site in a rural location. According to local authorities, the crash caused minimal damage on the ground.

According to the Telegram channel Baza, a 51-year-old woman was harmed in the event. She was reportedly burned after being hit by helicopter debris.

According to an RIA Novosti source, local emergency services are currently fighting the fire at the scene.

Two persons were murdered in the event, according to TASS.
