Kaduna South: Suspected Fulani Malicious Terrorists Attack Chikun, Kill 15 Villagers, Injure Scores

Unknown gunmen alleged to be herdsmen have attacked a community in Kaduna State, killing about 15 villagers and injuring scores.

Sources said the attacked took place Ungwan Rana, Gadani village, Gwagwada district of Chikun local government area of the state.

Residents say Ungwan Rana came under deadly attack on Wednesday evening.

Mr. Joshua, a resident of the village said “this attack was perfectly planned and executed by terrorists who are suspected to be Fulani herdsmen.”

He said residents have counted no fewer than 15 person were killed in the attack.

He said many houses and farm land were also razed down, adding that “food, goods, properties and other valuables were destroyed. Many resident were left with high degree of injuries.”

Another villager, Jim Gami Makama said some of the houses were burnt down during the attacked.

“We are calling on the state government, the Commissioner of Police Kaduna State, and other relevant security agency to curtail this situation to further save the life’s of our citizens,” he said.

“Ungwan Rana and Gadani village under Gwagwada district in chikun LGA was attacked! The attack was perpetrated in the afternoon yesterday the 14th of December, With casualties of about 15 persons dead and many were injured, goods and properties worth million of Naira were destroyed, houses and farm lands were razed Down too by the marauders,” he said.

The spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, ASP Aliyu Usman could not respond to our inquiries.

Meanwhile, sources said the heavy security personnel have been drafted to restore normalcy in the area.
