A suspected Ebola patient from Guinea has been isolated at the Ebola Treatment Centre, Yaba, Lagos State. The patient was brought in from the Lagos International Airport this morning to the centre.
A doctor at the centre who spoke to our correspondent under the condition of anonymity said the patient is from Guinea where the Ebola virus emanated.
“A test is being run on the patient but the result is not yet out. I can confirm to you that the patient is presently in our facility and under close watch of the officials.”
Though still a suspected case, the result according to the doctor will be out by Friday.
Investigation revealed that the patient is showing full symptoms of the Ebola Virus Disease.
