In this video, fiery activist SAN lawyer Femi Falana said a lot of important stuff at a pro-democracy rally.
While mainly abusing the Afenifere group and Ohaeneze Igbo groups for being bribed to support the ruling party, he brought up the fact that while Afenifere claimed the reason they supported Jonathan was him saying he will enforce the conclusions of the National sleeping conference, that they were lying to themselves because all Yoruba agenda at the conference including the demands for Parliamentary system of governance, state police and true regionalism were blocked at the conference.
Falana said that in Nigeria’s history, at no time has a leader left power voluntarily, all leader figures have been booted out including Obasanjo with his third term agenda. He said that while the masses rallied to boot Obasanjo, Babangida and even the Yar’Adua caucus to allow Jonathan a chance, that the CAN president now implicated in cash for arms smuggling, Afenifere, Ohaeneze and these groups being waxed with billions from the central bank of Nigeria were no where to be found then and did not protest for Jonathan to take over from Yar’Adua.
