Saharareporters has learned that a detachment of police officers today invaded the Kano State Government Lodge in Abuja and are holding at least 5 factional PDP governors as well as others hostage.

The five trapped governors are members of the breakaway faction of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who have rejected Bamanga Tukur as their party’s national leader.

Several sources aware of the unfolding situation informed Saharareporters that the DPO of Asokoro police division led the invading police officers.

One of our sources said there was initial tension when the security details of the governors tried to deny entry to the DPO and his retinue of officers.

Last week police had aborted an attempt by the new PDP to hold a meeting at the Abuja Sokoto state governors lodge in Asokoro.

The new PDP had recently declared in a press release that they were endangered, under threat from the government. Here: Dawn Of Fascism: New PDP Members Now An Endangered Species
