Nigerian Islamic Movement “Shia” Muslims Donate Blood To Hospital On Ashura Holy Day

Known for their social philanthropic activities and peace initiatives, Nigeria’s members of the Islamic movement, mostly composed of “Shia” Muslims commemorated the Muslim Ashura Holy day with the donation of blood at the government hospitals in Kaduna.

Ashura marks the day prophet Musa AS (Moses) escaped through the sea and also the day prophet Nuh AS (Noah) came off the boat; it also marks the day of Karballah when Imam Hussein AS, the prophet of Islam’s grandson was martyred.
