Acting Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State, Mr. Raymond Dabo, has declared that the party has no room for defectors who want to rejoin the party unless laid down rules are followed.

Former governor of the state, Senator Joshua Dariye, former deputy governor, Pauline Tallen, former FCT Minister, Jeremiah Useni and other party members are making moves to be accepted fully into the party.

The Punch newspaper reported that some of the party members who left the party at various times want to rejoin the PDP had gone ahead to write the national leadership of the party in Abuja to prevail on the state leadership of the party led by Governor Jonah Jang to receive them into the party.

Furtherance to this, a Mohammed Bello led-committee has been set up with the mandate of reconciling the aggrieved members.

State chairman of the PDP, Dabo has however insisted that the former party members who are seeking to return to the PDP must go back to their wards and register. He said it was the wards head that would recommend them to the local government, then to the state before they would be reabsorbed.

Dabo further mentioned that the party was not opposed to whoever is returning to the party in the state but such person must abide by due process as spelt out by the party’s constitution.
