I read this news item on the Punch Newspaper of today (31/10/2016) that Nigerian President Buhari condemned “missile attack on Makkah”. But there was never any missile attack on the city of Makkah from Yemen.
The Saudi regime formed an Arab coalition and attack Yemen in a US/UK-sponsored aggression against Yemen. The Saudi coalition had killed more than 10,000 Yemeni civilians that are dominated by women and children. The coalition have inflicted Yemen apart from deaths and destructions also with hunger and diseases due to its blockade of Yemeni ports.
The Yemeni Resistance have every right to resist this Saudi-led attacks and unprovoked aggression against Yemen. There was a missile attack on Riyadh airport by the Yemeni revolutionaries and the Saudi regime claimed the attack was on the holy city of Makkah to exploit and win sympathy of Muslims. Egypt that is an important member of the coalition just withdrew from the coalition, the Saudi regime is desperate for support and that was why it coined this fraudulent propaganda. The Saudi regime just approach Algeria to replace Egypt but the Algerians are not interested.
The Nigerian President Buhari is notoriously pro-Saudi since assuming power. There was twin suicide attacks in Maiduguri on the same day as the Saudi missile attack, the Nigerian President Buhari condemned the Saudi attack but was silent on the suicide attacks on his own people. That reminds me to ask this question ” Have Saudi Arabia ever condemned any terrorist attack in Nigeria? ”
It is important to note that last December the Nigerian President Buhari ordered the brutal and inhuman massacre of close to one thousand Nigerian civilians just to serve a foreign imperialist agenda that has the Saudi regime as a front. The victims of the massacre were quickly buried in mass graves. The Saudi King immediately called President Buhari to congratulate him for the genocidal massacre of Nigerian Shia Muslim civilians.
The United Nations recently proposed a peace plan proposal to the warring Yemeni factions but the Saudi-backed faction rejected the UN proposal. The Yemeni revolutionaries are willing to negotiate a peaceful settlement to the crisis but the Saudi coalition are busy killing innocent Yemeni civilians.
On a final note, Nigerians should advice President Buhari to concentrate on the mandate given to him of governing Nigeria. He has plunged the nation’s economy into recession and Nigerians are dying of hunger. Nigerians voted for him to be their ruler and not as a puppet of the Saudi King or any foreign power.
