The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has called on the Senate to drop any of the ministerial nominees
with corruption issues hanging on his neck.
The senate is set to begin the screening of the ministerial nominees on Tuesday.
Secretary of CAN in Enugu State, Apostle Joseph Ajujungwa, who stated this in Enugu at an event to mark his 35th Priestley anniversary, also urged the lawmakers to disqualify any of the nominees who had advanced in
age.
While calling on Nigerians to stop trivializing corruption, he maintained that, “corruption is clearly stealing”, and for that, any politician who continues with such habit, despite hearing the word of God daily, would end up in hell fire.
Clerics from across the country were led to the event by the Chairman of the Southern Nigeria Christian Elders’ Forum and Chairman, CAN South-East, Bishop David Eberechukwu of us, how can one person have 21billion US dollars, how can one person have hundreds of billion of naira, where did they get the money? Those in government are killing us, even Buhari knows this, even the Senators know.”
