Boko Haram is once against attacking Konduga, a last forte before Maiduguri, the capital of Borno.
It is recalled that Boko Haram suffered several serial defeats at Konduga last two months in failed attempts to invade Maiduguri.
Boko Haram resorted to market bombing through disguised agents to weaken the morale in Maiduguri and is now again trying to attack the capital.
The Nigerian government has been widely accused of sponsoring Boko Haram against its people and being behind the latest flury of attacks which it is accused of sponsoring to promote the renewal of a State of Emergency, SoE which will be politically valuable for the ruling party. The government has denied these charges.
