A police officer has condemned the murder of Alton Sterling who was shot dead by two arresting officers in Louisiana.

In a very passionate video, she said she is the first female minority officer in her community. She relayed the work she had done to protect citizens’ lives since she became an officer in 1996 in East Cleveland.

She vehemently denounced officers who took an oath to protect their community and then turn around to put the very people at risk.

In the 7-minute video, she condemned police officers who have a god complex, telling them they have no business being police officers.

“If you are white and you’re working in a black community and you are racist, you need to be ashamed of yourself,” she said. “You stood up there and took an oath. If this is not where you want to work, then you need to take your behind somewhere else.”

“If you are afraid of people who do not look like you then take that uniform off!”

She said many of them will give their life for any body and they made the oath and will keep it so those officers who are racist should take off the uniform.

She said she almost wanted to quit the force when she saw the video, but decided to keep the uniform on to make a change.

“It bothers me when I hear people say, ‘Y’all police officers this, y’all police officers that. They put us in this negative category when I’m saying to myself, ‘I’m not that type of police officer.’ I know officers that are like me that would give their life for other people,” Jones said in the video.

While telling blacks to put the gun down, she said blacks needed to stand together.
