Petitioning FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF NIGERIA; United Nations and Global Parties for Human Rights – By ENDS
For The Support And Right Of Defenseless Nigerian Victims To Bear Arms Against The Boko Haram Genocide
Article 3 of the Universal charter of human rights declares that ‘Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person;’ with as many as 80,000 Nigerians killed in the last 4 years and over 3 million displaced as the unhinged Boko Haram massacre freely continues to decimate the majorly poor, farming communities of the north, Nigerians are denied their fundamental rights and this is being done under the eyes of the international community; Article 16 (3) of the charter of human right declares that ‘The family is the natural and fundamental group unit of society and is entitled to protection by society and the State; Whereas preamble section 3 of the Universal charter of human rights declares that is essential, if man is not to be compelled to have recourse, as a last resort, to rebellion against tyranny and oppression, that human rights should be protected by the rule of law;
The Nigerian State security services has been dysfunctional for the past 4 years, unable or unwilling to check the Boko Haram menace. A handful of rag-tag terrorists continue to unleash unprecedented mayhem on the most vulnerable populations in the north. Villages are repeatedly sacked in a continuous pogrom. The Nigerian army is witnessing one of the largest desertion eruptions in history with hundreds of soldiers dumping their uniforms every week. The people are left defenseless and totally at the mercy of brave, patriotic civilian vigilante’s who provide the fledgling last and only line of defense against the Boko Haram advantaged forces, who storm the communities armed with military vehicles and ammunition obtained from the Nigerian army. The Nigerian government has failed for 5 years to arrest a single sponsor of the terror group which supports, fosters and promises a continuous reign of terror on the affected communities. Boko Haram has been allowed to become a global problem and one of the highest ranking, most deadly terrorist groups in the world today.
Thousands are dead, thousands are burned and disabled, thousands are widowed and orphaned and as the humanitarian crises worsens, food, shelter and health care can no longer reach the most vulnerable communities, deserted by the Nigerian military.
We petition the Nigerian government to immediately approve of the right of the people –as demanded by the Civilian-JTF, local vigilante’s, hunters, pastors of Chibok, regional Representatives and other organizations including ENDS.ng – to bear arms to defend their neighborhoods and take the attack back to Boko Haram in the jungles where they hide, to destroy this terror group and free the thousands of men and women abducted over the past 4 years.
We petition the United Nations and all international players to immediately press it upon the Nigerian government to support the right of its people, currently sitting-duck, waiting for their death, to bear arms and fight back for their survival. We demand sanctions against the Nigerian government for its failures to secure life, failure to arm its people and for its deadly dereliction of its duty in its responsibility to safe-guard life.
We are ready to legitimately get our own guns and are proceeding with this inalienable right for self-defense. This is the right of any people as determined by the charter of human rights, to defend themselves, their families and their properties and provision. We call on the good people to sign this petition and support the mission to turn the tide on the devils that have brought our nation to its knees. [Support: http://ends.ng/donate/]
