An alarm has been raised that the Nigerian army is exhuming Mando mass grave where over 350 victims of the Zaria massacre are said to be buried.

A judicial panel set-up by the Nigerian government found the Nigerian army leadership guilty in the massacre of hundreds of minority Shia Muslims in Nigeria’s Zaria city in December last month.

The evidence of how the victims were killed and the actual number killed is in Mando mass grave.

It is the second time the alarm is being raised as soldiers were reportedly seen at the site.

The Federal government has refused to protect the crime scene and declare it a protected and investigated site as stipulated by the law.

The Lawal Garba judicial panel has also been slammed for failing to recommend the protection and investigation of the site.
