My name is Olawale Odeniyi, a humble Nigerian citizen seeking the urgent help of the public and the good citizens of Nigeria.
This is to seek the assistance of your media organization in helping to reach the general public and the good Samaritans of this country to come to urgently come to our aid as we urgently need financial assistance for the liver transplant of my 2 year old son. My son, Elyon Oluwatomisin Odeniyi was diagnosed of Discompensated liver cirrhosis at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Lagos. Elyon was born with this health condition and he has undergone various medical examination and treatment since birth. He is currently under the supervision of Dr (Mrs) Adeniyi at LUTH pediatric department. After comprehensive and series of tests, it was concluded that the only medical remedy to this disease is a liver transplant which the doctor advised can only be carried out in India, United Kingdom or South Africa. We were also advised that India option should be given a priority because of their expertise in related operation. Elyon clocked 2 years on the 1st of March 2016 but yet to stand on his own, let alone walk. Both my wife and I are Secondary School tutors in Lagos, while my wife has been unable to work since our son’s birth to enable her give him all the attention and care he requires.
Having spent millions of naira in the past two years on his treatment, we are currently almost down to nothing financially, and while our faith presently looks up to God, we have also decided to cry out to the general public for their financial intervention/ support for this operation to save the life of our son. The cost of this liver transplant operation from India hospital as given by the doctor is nothing less than N8,000,000 (Eight million naira) and this is excluding travel cost, accommodation cost and other ancillary expenses.
