As the Buhari administration is forced to reopen the files of the Halliburton scandal case, the implicated former president of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo has visited President Muhammadu Buhari this week in the Aso villa for private talks.
During a visit last week, Buhari anti corruption bosses, EFCC’s Magu and others met with US officials to discuss the case.
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former vice, Atiku Abubakar, former president Abdulsalami Abubakar among others are implicate din the millions of dollar scandal that saw US officials and a former Vice President, Dick Cheney exposed and humiliated with some sentenced to jail.
The US has been upset that Nigeria did not do anything to the culprits on its side and has forced Buhari to investigate and repudiate or get less help from America.
The details of Obasanjo’s private meeting with Buhari have not been made public.
