Early Friday morning, Israel launched unusual airstrikes into Lebanon.
This comes just hours after it hit militant targets in the Gaza Strip.
The two attacks were in response to Palestinian militants in Gaza firing rockets into southern Israel and Lebanon firing rockets into northern Israel.
This week has seen an increase of violence at the holy site of Jerusalem.
The Israeli military had yet to release details on its planned targets in Lebanon. It did, however, state that it was targeting tunnels and weapons locations in the Gaza Strip.
The new wave of violence began on Wednesday with an incident at Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque, where some worshipers had gathered.
