NewsRescue– Reports have been received of an ongoing Boko Haram attack of the Nigerian Military barracks, Bama, Maiduguri. At this time the causalities are not confirmed, but Boko Haram staged this attack to kill soldiers and their families in the barracks.
Update- the wave of attacks has been repelled by the Nigerian forces. It can not yet be determined if the insurgents have fully retreated.
The attacks began at 4am this morning, before full guard. The insurgents burned secretariats, police stations and all parastatals in the town before attacking the barracks.
According to our reports, several insurgents were killed after army reinforcements arrived to assist the holed up barrack.
