The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), has asked the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to withdraw the online registration policy which tends to charge prospective corps members the sum of N4,000.
In a report made available in the The Nation newspaper, General Secretary of the congress, Dr. Peter Ozo-Eson, said in a statement titled: “We are opposed to this policy”, while NLC commended the service corps for taking the initiative to reduce the cost and risk associated with travelling, it was normally wrong to turn it into a money-making venture.
