Obviously misled by unscrupulous elements who wish to trigger a Central African republic (CAR) type situation in Nigeria, the recent Boko Haram attack on Bama and a farming village of Izghe in Borno state that was labeled an attack on a “Christian village” by media like CNN, was headlined in dangerous error. The Voice of America, VOA news caster Grace Alheri Audu likewise spread this misinformation in broadcast.
Confirmed reports from the ground reveal that over 100 of the killed were Muslims and the attack killed mostly Muslims and not Christians as the media attempted to portray. Izghe is NOT a christian village as most media reported, but a mixed village, and most killed in this attack were Muslims.
Killing should never be divided by religion in any case as every innocent person killed on purpose is killed by a demonic person, regardless of his professed faith, his reasons or what he hopes to achieve.
