Israel’s Ministry for Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism has published its 2025 list of the world’s top “anti-Semitic influencers” – and six of the ten are American.
The list includes Dan Bilzerian, Greta Thunberg, Tucker Carlson, Nick Fuentes, Candace Owens, and British-Palestinian journalist Abdel Bari Atwan, among others. The ministry ranked them based on “level of influence and risk,” determined by frequency of statements it deemed anti-Semitic or anti-Israeli.
The ministry defined those listed as individuals without formal political positions but with significant followings – a category that conveniently captures anyone with a platform who criticizes Israeli policy.
Atwan pushed back directly. “Israel is not above criticism. So to accuse anybody who is criticizing Israel of anti-Semitism is actually very, very frightening,” he said, noting his own Semitic heritage and long advocacy for Jewish-Arab coexistence.
The list arrives as American unfavorable views of Israel have risen to 60%, up from 53% – driven in part by the Gaza conflict and the subsequent war with Iran launched in late February.
Is it still “anti-Semitism” when six in ten Americans share the sentiment?
