Elon Musk Warns Against New World Order Single Government, ‘Diversity helps…Islamic Caliphates Rose While Rome Fell”

Elon Musk warned against the perils of a single global authority during his address at the World authority Summit on Wednesday.

“Seemed like the right venue,” Musk tweeted later in response to a video of his remarks.

Beginning at 9:00 p.m. PT, the CEOs of Twitter, SpaceX, and Tesla spoke via video link at the Dubai-based conference. The yearly event, which is “dedicated to shaping the future of governments,” focuses on leveraging technology to tackle problems that humanity faces.

Musk used his conference appearance to criticise the concept of a single political power.

“I know it’s called the World Government Summit, but I think we should be concerned about becoming too much of a unified world government,” he remarked.

“We want to avoid creating a civilizational risk by having, frankly — and this may sound strange — too much government cooperation.”

The world’s second-richest person said that the rise and fall of individual civilizations “hasn’t meant the doom of humanity as a whole” since they were not completely interconnected.

“While Rome was falling, Islam was rising,” Musk remarked, referring to technological and scientific developments at the period.

Musk stated that the globe requires “some amount of civilizational diversity such that if something does go wrong with some part of civilization, the whole thing doesn’t collapse and humanity keeps moving forward.”

In brief, Musk stated that if the globe gets overly interconnected, a single catastrophic event might have worldwide ramifications.

The Roman Empire is commonly thought to have ended around the fifth century, though this is debatable, and the Islamic Golden Age began about the eighth century.

According to CNN, technological advances throughout the period include the world’s first university, which was created in Morocco in 859, as well as the origins of algebra. According to the Encylopedia Britannica, the number system used in much of the world today is likewise Arabic, having been introduced to Europe in the 12th century.

“If we become too reliant on a single civilization, the entire thing may collapse,” Musk warned. “Of course, I’m not suggesting war or anything like that, but I think we should be wary of cooperating too much.”

Musk has previously warned that if people do not start having more children, civilization will collapse. “Look at the numbers — if people don’t have more children, civilization is going to crumble,” he warned in 2021 at the Wall Street Journal’s annual CEO Council.

Birth rates fell by 4% between 2019 and 2020, according to statistics from the National Centre for Health Statistics. In July 2022, the father-of-nine tweeted, “A collapsing birth rate is by far civilization’s greatest danger.”

Musk also encouraged politicians to “speak authentically” on social media during Wednesday’s conference, and said he hopes to find a new Twitter CEO by the end of the year.
