Former President Olusegun Obasanjo said Saturday’s presidential election failed an integrity test and thus had to be canceled.

He specifically requested that the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof Mahmood Yakubu, save Nigeria from the impending danger and disaster.

In a statement titled “2023 Nigeria Presidential Election: An Appeal For Caution and Rectification,” he said this.

According to him, it is no secret that INEC officials at the operational level have allegedly been compromised as a result of the manual transmission of results that he claims were manipulated and doctored.

Obasanjo’s letter comes just hours after party agents staged a walkout.

He told President Muhammadu Buhari that “tensions are rising, and please let all elections that do not pass the credibility and transparency test be cancelled and rescheduled for next Saturday, March 4, 2023, in areas where elections were disrupted, and BVAS and Server officials be changed.”
