Kano: Minjibir House Of Representative Election Turns Violent

The election of house of Representative taking place in Minjibir local government of Kano State have turned Violent.

Information reaching us indicates that 3 people might have been killed in Minjibir local government.

From enquiries conducted, the political fight happened between the Kwankwasiyya adherents of Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso the former governor of Kano State and those from the side of the executive governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, all of them are members of the APC.

Since before the election, information in circulation indicates that the Kwankwasiyya adherents have strategies to engage in anti party due to the lingering political supremacy fight, though, however, it is yet to be established whether it was to the knowledge of the former governor such anti party activities took place.

Some people interviewed have informed us that INEC may have canceled the election due to the violence experienced.

Information reaching now indicates that the bye election in Minjibir local government have been canceled by INEC.

Many cars have been burned down, many other people have received cutlass wounds, and many have been arrested.

These is in addition to three people already killed.
