David Wilcock, a prominent UFO researcher and leading voice in the disclosure movement, has been found dead at his home near Nederland, Colorado. He was 53.
The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office said Wilcock called 911 on April 23, 2026, and “used the weapon on himself” within minutes of deputies arriving at the scene. His death has been ruled a suicide.
A Voice for Disclosure
Wilcock spent decades advocating for government transparency on unidentified aerial phenomena, authoring bestselling books including The Source Field Investigations and The Synchronicity Key. He commanded hundreds of thousands of followers across social media platforms and was among the most visible figures in the movement pressuring the US government to release what it knows about UFOs and extraterrestrial contact.
Two days before his death, Wilcock posted a message on X that many of his followers are now reading with a different lens: “I want you all to know how much I love and appreciate you,” he wrote, referencing “very intense stuff” occurring that weekend.
The Timing
Wilcock’s death comes just days after President Trump signed an executive order directing an investigation into the mysterious deaths and disappearances of approximately a dozen American scientists since 2023 — individuals who reportedly had access to closely guarded nuclear and space secrets.
The cases Trump ordered investigated range across circumstances that have fueled speculation for years: unexpected deaths, sudden disappearances, and incidents that official investigations closed quickly with explanations that left more questions than answers. Theories circulating among researchers and online communities range from foreign espionage to government silencing of individuals who knew too much about classified programs.
Pattern or Coincidence
Whether Wilcock’s death is connected to the broader pattern Trump has ordered investigated is unknown. What is known is that his death adds another name to a list that has grown long enough to prompt a presidential directive — and that the timing has ensured his passing will not be quietly forgotten.
The disclosure community he helped build is already asking the questions his work was dedicated to: what does the government know, and what is it willing to do to keep it hidden?
